New England Fiber Fest

Our guild members had a fun day at the NE FIber Fest in Springfield Ma.
We met the bus early Saturday Morning and were were greeted by a Bald Eagle perched in a near by tree. Sharp eyed Theresa pointed him out to us. You can't see him in the photo...but he's there, and flew off over the Merrimack River to look for breakfast. Theresa told us it was good luck to see an eagle-we knew that the wool shopping was going to be GREAT!!

We boarded the bus and let Jay drive us to Springfield. Big thanks to Lisa for the coffee with all the fixings-Lynda and Theresa were the designated pourers (Good thing we were in the back of the bus).

After a quick group photo, we were off!! 150 vendors, yarn, fleece, wool, fiber....ideas, creativeness, inspiration! Lots of fluffy animals, bags of freshly shorn sheep, goat , llama and alpaca. Cute bunnies, baskets, loads of wool yarn, roving and fibers. French fries and ice cream completed the day.

We were shown how to wear a hank of yarn as a scarf.Warm and fashionable. Readily available if you want to knit or crochet!
 Angora bunnies-so soft!

 Alpaca imitating an ostrich!!

 A comfy llama inspired chair

are you looking at me????
Everyone had a great time, and we are looking forward to next year's event. We supported the economy and added to our stashes. We will be dreaming of fleece and fiber for many nights to come.
Happy Hooking,
Lynda
